Underfloor insulation, pitched roof insulation and room in a roof insulation start at £25 per square metre (based on Icynene Classic Open Cell foam @100mm thick). This includes labour costs.
Prices can vary based on individual job specification, and larger jobs can be subject to discounts.
When working to building regulations for new builds or extensions the foam thickness will vary depending on your target U-value of the building your working on, in these cases prices will change depending on the required depth, However with retro fit insulation and no need to meet building regulations the foam can be applied at its optimum depth of between 100-150mm keeping the price low but not compromising on the level of insulation, at 100mm thick with Icynene you reach 94% of the foams potential performance value, Increasing the thickness beyond this will give minimal extra benefits and is therefore seen as a waste of material/Money and time and need only be done to meet building regulations.
